The
two dresses are of the same type. The difference between the different
social classes costumes were the fabric and colour. Both
dresses are from 14th century, but one is a noble ladies dress and the
other is a lower middleclass woman's everyday dress. The
red dress that is the noble woman's dress. More fabric is used for this
dress and the red colour, that was expensive and difficult to produce,
this make the dress more exclusive then the other dress. The
red dress is made of wool and under it a smock of linen is used.
Different headdresses Is used to this dress, some of them is seen on the

The
green linen overdress is used over a unbleached linen dress. |
